Oi, nice to type in here again. Past few months was a rough time. Got a degree, a new job and a few rare pairs of Asics. Now I’m proud to announce that after a few days of development I’m ready to publish a new site. ACG2.0 or rather ACG2.0 beta, as I shall call it, should be online tomorrow. Hope you guys like it. It will have a new - better design (but still I’ll have to do some work on it) and for what it’s worth a way easier to extend for future releases CMS. I’m far from being a peacock but a great new features are coming.

Also I really hope that before the summer sneaker fest season I’ll publish an Android app that will help you identify and get more info on the sneaks you’re currently looking at - on a shelf or someone’s feet. Stay tuned and make sure to check back toomorrow @ www.acollectorsguide.com

Asics Tiger Extender
Model No: TN22Color No: 0297Color: Sandstone / Pewter / P. BlueModel release: 1988CW release: 1988Made in Korea
These are one of the oldest shoes in my collection. They are a DS pair with all the tags attached. They came from Sportshoe USA store. Extender does not have Gel cushioning system but they are pretty comfy. Well, a lot more comfy than Asics Tiger Alliance (1983) - the oldest pair I have in my collection. Quality of the materials used on shoe and sole is incredible. My pair came with stickers marking the number of the patent which was a surprise.

Gel Lyte - the first ones. Got these from an ebay seller a couple years ago. Came in the OG box, everything in pristine shape! One of my favorite pairs, Asics or otherwise. Big ups to my man Mike for hooking up the matching track jacket too!

To clarify the situation: this is 1987 GLI. GLII (not GT-II which is a common mistake) came in 1989, GLIII in 1990 and GLV in 1993. As you can see it has no split tongue (as GLIII). GEL system is placed in the rear foot. Hopefully some time soon I’ll show you the rest of the classic GL series along with some extra photos of GLI “laboratory” pics.
Gel Saga WMNS

Another insane CW of women’s Gel Saga I posted earlier before. As you can see everything’s in prime DS condition.

Gel Saga WMNS
Model No: TN83 WMNS Color No: ? Model release: 1989 CW release: 1990 Made in Japan
Got these off eBay about half a year ago. They were real yellow. I used some vanish stain remover plus some bleach to get them white again. The suede(!) logo on the sides and back of the shoe is covered with some kind of paint. Not the greatest idea. At least after 20 years ;] Didn’t get the box though. These are real lightweight but they are not the most comfortable shoe ever.
Gel 66 Model No: TN306 Color No: 0190 Color: White/Black/Sunset Purple Model release: 1993 CW release: 1993 Made in Korea
No long story to tell about those. One might notice that the sole is similiar to the one in Gel121. This is because both models’ soles were based the same patent (Google Patents doesn’t show the result though). My pair separated :/ Thanks to jamesyo for submission of alive kicks ;)

GT Cool Model release: 1991 CW release: 1991(?) Made in Korea
Originally the shoe came with a coolmax sock as GT-Express (except GT-Express didn’t have a split tongue which was first used in 1991).

Got these off eBay for peanuts. Deadstock with OG everything. Box (although the sender put address and all that on it :/), paper and leaflet (interesting as always ;). These have no tongue. Just an ankle stabilizer. They are super comfy. Top 3 i guess.
Asics Gel-ViperModel No: SY412Color No: 0190Color: White/Black/MidnightsizeSize: 11.5Made in KoreaYear: Unknown (think around 95)Got these off ebay in 2008 I think. Not a pair to everyones liking, but I love the sides with the black logo & mesh. The black part cracked at first wear, but only noticed it after second wear. As the black part is held together by mesh im afraid its bound to fall apart sooner or later.

Asics Gel 122 Model release: ~1993 (someone said 1990, nothing sure though) CW release: ~1993
Got them from a good friend for a bargain. They were DS unworn, unfortunately without the OG box. They’re comfy as hell although it’s a US 12 they fit perfectly (i’m usually a US 11).
